skull & bones

or are the buggers deceiving me? Cast yourne own eyes upon this, mine quotes from a truly biblical Scribe—

“Colorstorm. You’re clueless. It won’t do any good to say why though and especially not here.

“Pastor” Randy. You’re even worse.

We really are in a great apostasy in the church world in this country. Oh what a breathtakingly rude awakening is coming to people like you. 🙁 One or both of us serves a false god.”

—and may your flabbers be ghasted. Mine aren’t. I know what people can do to people, especially when inspired by the adoration Of God, the greatest power of Peace, Love, Hope, Compassion and mercy the universe will ever know*—

(—so that’s what it’s like, to dribble. Yeuch.)

“Mr Argus!”

“Yes, Little Ollivia?”

“Is that the utmost in degrading sarcasm, or have you genuinely been touched by God?”

“Possibly both, Toots. Think about it … I am, like you, like all of us, merely The Lord’s instrument puppet, no?”

—and anyway, all I’m doing is quoting from a genuine “touched”. Go there and vomit for yourself (it’s free~!) (unless you get touched too and sign up … and then there’s no end to the touching up …)

(take a bucket with you if you go. BIG bucket …)

* Bible-person speech. (Am I getting good at it, or wot?)

and the opportunists who ‘service’ them:

The first vending machine was also one of his constructions; when a coin was introduced via a slot on the top of the machine, a set amount of holy water was dispensed. This was included in his list of inventions in his book Mechanics and Optics. When the coin was deposited, it fell upon a pan attached to a lever. The lever opened up a valve which let some water flow out. The pan continued to tilt with the weight of the coin until it fell off, at which point a counter-weight would snap the lever back up and turn off the valve.

So … there’s nothing new, huh?

Certainly nothing much under my old hat …

of Free Enterprise is to recognise a marketing need and provide the needy with their heart’s desires (at a cost) (to them) resulting in a win/win outcome—they get their salvation, you get their bucks; God is in His heaven and all is right with the world.

I restate an observation—

(oops, before I do, here’s your wee quote for today)

The Dakota Access Pipeline was an underground crude oil pipeline system that affected 4 states: Iowa, Illinois, North Dakota, and South Dakota.  It was planned to be fully operational by the end of 2016. This extravagant project boasts environmental friendliness and a huge boost to the US economically. All this can be found on the Energy Transfer Crude Oil Company’s webpage.  There’s just one small problem. People live on top of the property that will be seized as part of this monstrous project. You can either give up your land willingly and be compensated, or be taken to court. Native Sioux tribes are experiencing colonization all over again; People are exploiting their homes for personal profit, they are being violently forced out of what has been home to them for hundreds of years, their basic human rights to shelter and water are essentially denied. This time, however, people with huge influence on society and intelligent outspoken voices are coming forward. Shailene Woodley stood up for the minority and was arrested during a protest. I am moved that at just 24 years old she is using her presence as a celebrity to not only fight for environmental and social justice, but to stand for morality. To see who else is with her, read here: Shailene Woodley Speaks Out

—and the observation, which applies here in Godzone as much as in the Land Of The Free, is in fact a Universal that needs neither explanation nor proof:

A simple statement, self evident, and completely unassailable.

Does it rankle? I certainly hope so … not that there’s much that you, little voting person, could ever do about it. (It would be like objecting to The Law of Gravity …)

the beat goes on, the beat goes onnnnnn ….

I posted my WPC entry in the wrong blog.

Not to worry, it gives me another crack at it later. In the meantime, a snippet for all you “Let’s redistribute the wealth”*  folks out there—

The repeated question … was whether kids in America were going to be able to obtain an equal educational experience.  But there was probably not a Senator in the room that is not or did not send his or her children to some private elite school.  The demand for equality breeds mediocrity.  It breeds indoctrination, not education.  It was Winston Churchill who said: “The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.”

to read from source: CLICK HERE (or not. It’s your call)

before you bite my head off—there’s what I personally regard as Capitalism and there’s the rather sick substitute that we have been deluded into believing is capitalism. And of course, there’s Socialism … but ol’ Churchill seems to have got it.

*The wealth”? Whose wealth? Yours too? (Actually, especially yours …)

Why not? There’s many millions of starving refugee types out there without a bean. So if ‘redistributing the wealth’ is a good idea, shouldn’t everyone’s (r) EVERYONE’s wealth be poured into a common fund and then redistributed equally amongst all the poor, the oppressed, the weary, the hungry, the huddled masses yearning to breathe free, everywhere? (You included, don’t forget. By then you’ll have earned your place in the line—you’ll be well qualified** for a lovely free redistribution.) Go get ’em, Tiger!

** Boy, will you ever … boom boom!

George, half a year ago, said this

The EU has “ceased to satisfy its citizens’ needs and aspirations,” George Soros said calling on people to “band together to save it.” The billionaire warned the disintegration of the bloc will be almost impossible to avoid.

“Britain eventually may or may not be relatively better off than other countries by leaving the EU, but its economy and people stand to suffer significantly in the short to medium term,” Soros wrote in a commentary on the website Project Syndicate.

“The catastrophic scenario that many feared has materialized, making the disintegration of the EU practically irreversible.”

—which provokes me in turn to ask:

cui bono?

Meaning ‘who benefits’?

And let’s face it, another gathering of many diverse taxpayers into one huge heap achieves nothing more than simplifying the task of tax collecting. No?

More taxes collected means bigger and better bribes for the voters—but at whose expense? (CLUE: never at the parasitical politicians’ expense.)

More taxes means more and more pointless layers of bureaucracy working hard at justifying themselves—somehow —with more and endless more pointless rules and regulations. Not good.

trade. Skills and products are marketed.

The freer the market (meaning: the less the impositions, the fewer the pointless regulations, the fewer the needless ‘licences’ and permits and compliances) the better the flow of trade. Better flow of trade means greater prosperity for all concerned (once the regulators have been fired and forced to get real jobs*).

a United States of Europe. Or a United Nations of Europe. All that Europe needs is a Free Market—

  • free of bureaucracy
  • free of needless politicians
  • free of pointless stupidities, hence free of waste
  • free to get on with producing and trading

a case of ‘produce and trade, or die’. Someone should point out to ol’ George that the worst thing the peoples of Europe could do would be to “band together to save it”.  Their efforts would be infinitely better spent banding together to destroy it.

Once we realise that imperfect understanding is the human condition there is no shame in being wrong, only in failing to correct our mistakes.

The so-calledEuropean Union was (is) a big mistake.

Laughable if not so tragic—all those millions of people desperately voting for some crumbs from someone else’s table, for a share of someone else’s rewards, for benefits from someone else’s efforts. Not good.

* Real jobs, producing something someone will buy. No buy means no profit, no profit means no dinner.
