After el mucho tweako.
after minimal tweaking—blob is above the top of the tail fin.
When I took the photo the plane was just a wee hint in the distance—terrific zoom on that wee camera, and a great stabiliser; which nevertheless made it quite a challenge to capture, hold, and track the plane. So damned impossible that the best I could do was shoot as the plane became briefly visible when the sights crossed it—even then I had to predict and compensate. Of course I had no idea the blasted dot was there, it was all I could do to get the plane …
… same shot, only bigger. Needs work. Much more. More than I got …
This above is after I’d blown it up, colourised and ultra sharpened the image to see what would happen. I like it—doesn’t tell us much but had a certain Jenny say kwa.
It also looks as if the Blob is in fact two blobs in one, no? And interesting is that both blob-shots (this and my earlier one*) were taken in Windsor (Invercargill, New Zealand) looking southish.
I hope you have some good answers—all I can come up with is a lugubrious expression and the words “Why me?”
First dot, Dec 2013 (I think …).
After a great deal of fiddling it (dot) eventually ended up looking like this—
—which left me none the wiser.
