Recently was an article on Islam as the fastest growing ‘religion’ in the world: Growth of Islam Outpacing Lift in Global Population (f0r source you’ll have to visit The Times).

Personally I don’t see Islam as a religion—it as a system ranking alongside Naziism and Soviet Communism for total control of mind and body. Nice if you can get it but not nice if you are got.

And now—

But the increased circulation of the Quran due to the recent Paris attacks and rise of the Islamic State has not always helped people to better understand and respect the faith. If anything, fear and prejudice toward Islam …

This is one example of the “widespread illiteracy about religion that spans the globe,” said Diane Moore, director of Harvard Divinity School’s Religious Literacy Project to The Huffington Post.

To combat this illiteracy, Moore and five other religion professors from Harvard University, Harvard Divinity School and Wellesley College are kicking off a free, online series on world religions open to the masses.

I leave such academic ‘open-minded’ stuffs to the ivory towered, for myself I’m dum’ enough to rely on my own resources—

… Moore suggested that religious literacy should include an understanding that religious traditions are “internally diverse,” ever-evolving, and play complex roles in people’s lives …

—and one wonders exactly what ‘religious literacy’ means? Or entails? All good clean fun for those not being burned at the stake or stoned to death or having their heads lopped off for religious ‘crimes’ … but I am especially intrigued by that bit about ‘ever evolving’.

can God’s Eternal Word possibly be evolving?

If there is ever to be a reliable constant it has to be the WOG*.

Or do God’s ‘Eternal Truths’ apply specifically to time and place; different in each?

eternal truth that should be hammered home (okay, presented to the intelligent to take onboard/refuse as they alone see best) it is this:

* WOG being the Word Of God. (What did you think it meant? Are you displaying a closed mind, hmmmmm? Frightened of your Thought Police, are we, Snowflake?)
